Pumpkin and Pears

Happy fall! To celebrate the turn of the seasons, I'll have apple, pear, pumpkin, and chocolate bourbon pecan pies this week. And if you're still mourning the loss of summer, catch a glimmer of it with key lime pie, which I'll have again this week.


As for meat pies, I'm excited to announce that I'll have braised rabbit hand pies, made with rabbit from slow-cooked in white wine, juniper berries, bay leaves, with sauteed carrots and onions. The rabbits are raised locally at Syggelekokle Farm in Washington County.


If rabbits are too cute to consider eating, never fear, I'll have cajun chicken pies as well (with meat from Blackberry Meadows Farm).


Come to the markets to get some autumnal pies!
